Newpoint Advisors guides century-old foundry through Section 363 sale

An aluminum, brass and bronze manufacturer with aerospace and defense qualifications remains operational while looking for financing partners and a buyer to acquire it as a going concern.

BRENTWOOD, TN, UNITED STATES, October 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Newpoint Advisors Corporation, a firm focused on turnaround and financial advisory for small to lower middle market businesses, announced today that it is acting as financial advisor to a vertically integrated foundry and machine shop in the Upper Midwest that works with aluminum, brass, and bronze (the "Company"). This is in connection with the Company's planned voluntary Chapter 11 filing in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of Illinois. Newpoint intends to manage a court-supervised sale under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code and is reaching out to potential going-concern buyers and financing partners.

The Company, with over a century of operational history, manufactures sand castings from aluminum, brass, and bronze and handles machining internally at one large facility. Its customer base spans marine, industrial, agriculture, construction equipment, automotive, and aerospace/defense sectors, and it employs around 30 people. The Company holds AS9100 certification, ITAR registration, has self-certified to CMMC Level 2, and currently possesses Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and HUBZone designations.

The Chapter 11 filing comes after the Company's largest long-term customer, a worldwide heavy-equipment manufacturer, wound down its purchases, combined with legacy liabilities that blocked an out-of-court sale or partnership. The Company has begun shifting toward defense and industrial clients. It intends to keep serving customers and paying employees normally during the process.

"This is an uncommon pairing: a talented workforce alongside the quality and compliance qualifications that aerospace and defense supply chains demand," stated Ken Yager, President of Newpoint Advisors. "A court-supervised sale offers a buyer a straightforward route to purchase the operating business and expand on that base. We anticipate the process will be swift, and we urge interested parties to reach out promptly."

Newpoint anticipates the sale timeline will be roughly 90 days, contingent on court approval of bidding procedures. The Company might appoint a stalking-horse bidder, and Newpoint is open to interest from parties interested in acting as both DIP lender and buyer. After signing a non-disclosure agreement, qualified parties will get further details.
