City officials and Invest Atlanta host an online gathering October 8 to discuss redevelopment strategies
ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, October 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Residents, business owners, property holders, and anyone with an interest in seven Tax Allocation District (TAD) communities are being called on by the City of Atlanta and Invest Atlanta to join a virtual session on October 8. The gathering aims to gather input on revisions to the districts’ Redevelopment Plans, which will direct future funding and growth within each TAD.
“Those with the deepest knowledge of these areas should have a voice in what happens next,” said Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, who also chairs the Invest Atlanta board. “These TAD plans will steer investment across seven communities, so we want residents, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders involved from the start, raising questions and telling us what their areas require. Sound planning begins with listening, and that is precisely what this effort is built around.”
The seven TADs under review are:
Eastside
Westside
Campbellton Road
Metropolitan Parkway
Hollowell/MLK
Stadium Neighborhoods
Perry Bolton
During the online session, attendees will gain insight into the redevelopment planning process, see how TAD funding can benefit Atlanta neighborhoods, outline their investment priorities, and discover ways to stay involved going forward.

“Refreshing these Redevelopment Plans is a key chance to make certain that future investments match the requirements and priorities of the communities we serve,” said Dr. Eloisa Klementich, president and CEO of Invest Atlanta. “We want Atlantans to grasp how these plans influence upcoming development and, above all, to have a platform to voice their views and help shape what comes next. Direct input from those who reside, work, and put money into these areas is vital to planning Atlanta’s path forward.”
The October 8 session kicks off the community outreach phase, with several in-person gatherings scheduled in the weeks ahead. Locals are urged to attend and keep providing feedback while the Redevelopment Plans are being revised.
About Tax Allocation Districts
Tax Allocation Districts serve as an economic development mechanism to fund enhancements and investments in areas requiring development or revitalization. TAD financing supports projects that drive community renewal, infrastructure upgrades, affordable housing, job growth, and other public advantages.
The revised Redevelopment Plans will lay out a structure for future investments across the seven TADs and offer direction for projects and efforts that further redevelopment objectives.
