The push to drag trade finance out of the paper-and-stamp era just got a serious boost. Two Canadian technology firms, XENEX Enterprises Inc. and FinTrade Innovations Inc. (FINTRINN), have formally joined forces to tackle the notoriously manual, document-heavy world of international trade finance.

Announced November 6, 2026, the strategic partnership aims to combine XENEX’s digital signing and sealing infrastructure — best known as its Xenex SignatureMaster™ platform — with FINTRINN’s deep specialization in trade finance product design. The goal is straightforward: accelerate the rollout of next-generation digital solutions that financial institutions can actually use.

According to the agreement, the two companies will work to integrate XENEX’s backend technology with FINTRINN’s trade finance expertise to develop and deliver entirely digital trade finance products. The collaboration directly responds to what the partners describe as a critical market demand: the need to digitize, simplify, and automate the complex workflows that have long defined trade finance.

“Our partnership with FinTrade Innovations Inc. (FINTRINN) marks a significant milestone in our commitment to trade finance innovation,” said Lorice Haig, President & CEO of XENEX Enterprises Inc. “The partnership establishes a foundation for collaboration on digital trade finance solutions, with a focus on workflow simplification, operational efficiency, and providing superior client service.”

FINTRINN’s leadership echoed that sentiment. “We are thrilled to partner with XENEX Enterprises Inc. to drive next-generation digital transformation in the trade finance sector,” said Ayesha Umar, President & CEO of FinTrade Innovations Inc. (FINTRINN). “Large financial institutions require agile, secure, and highly optimized solutions. This partnership allows us to leverage XENEX’s powerful infrastructure to deliver a simplified, high-value product suite tailored to the evolving needs of the modern financial industry.”

Both organizations have stated they are committed to working in lockstep, pooling their respective strengths to reshape how trade finance is handled — and ultimately deliver greater value to banks and the businesses that rely on trade finance products.

Why it matters: Trade finance underpins trillions of dollars in global commerce, yet much of it still relies on paper documents and manual verification. By pairing a proven digital signing platform with specialized trade finance product knowledge, this partnership directly targets the operational friction that slows down international trade — and signals where the industry is heading next.
