We are grateful to TOPDON for their ongoing investment in our training programs to ensure our students have access to the latest technology.”— John DodsonFAIRFIELD, NJ, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — TOPDON USA, a frontrunner in advanced automotive diagnostic tools, technology, and software, has announced that it is giving 48 TOPDON ONE Lite diagnostic scan tools to Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (UTI) to aid its automotive technician training programs. This marks the company’s most recent contribution to UTI’s training initiatives and represents TOPDON’s first educational effort that supports both instructor-led and classroom usage across all UTI campuses nationwide.

“We are proud that the TOPDON ONE Lite diagnostic tool will be part of UTI’s mission to train the next generation of auto technicians,” stated Chad Schnitz, vice president at TOPDON USA. “Over the past two years, we have partnered with UTI to support its hands-on training approach at certain campuses around the country. We are thrilled that the TOPDON ONE Lite will be fully incorporated into four advanced electrical and technology/hybrid courses delivered at every UTI campus nationwide.”

In February 2026, TOPDUN unveiled its ONE Series diagnostic platform, designed to deliver dealer-level capabilities to technicians at a significantly lower cost. The series debuted with the TOPDON ONE Lite and TOPDON ONE, followed by the TOPDON ONE Plus in June. Each product offers various advanced auto repair features, including clear network mapping, intelligent repair guidance, and extensive coverage across modern vehicle systems.

“We extend our thanks to TOPDON for their continued support of our training programs, which helps guarantee that our students have access to the latest technology,” said John Dodson, Vice President of Business Alliances at Universal Technical Institute. “When we assessed the TOPDON ONE Lite, we discovered that its capabilities align closely with the advanced diagnostic skills taught in several of our courses.”

UTI will weave the TOPDON ONE Lite into the following Automotive Technology program courses: Advanced Electrical Diagnosis, Advanced Technology/Hybrid & Service Advising; Advanced Electrical Diagnosis with ADAS, and Advanced Technology/Hybrid & Service Advising.

This donation is part of TOPDON’s TOP-UP program, which was launched globally and introduced in the U.S. in 2022. The initiative supports trade schools, community colleges, and technical institutions across the country by supplying modern tools and resources designed to strengthen the pipeline of talent entering the automotive service industry.
