A single API key combined with a prepaid wallet enables travel firms to book tickets, tours, transfers, car rentals, eSIM services, and hotel accommodations throughout Türkiye.
Travel distribution works better as infrastructure, so we built one integration that behaves like a modern payments API.”— ALPER TEKIN
TravelDistro, a B2B travel API marketplace, has introduced a unified platform allowing travel agencies to purchase tickets, tours, transfers, car rentals, eSIM, and hotel inventory across Türkiye using a single API agreement.
TravelDistro operates as an API-first travel distribution platform: a single API key and prepaid balance link agencies to 33 API partners spanning six product verticals and nine destinations in Türkiye. The platform handles approximately 38,000 daily quote requests and serves around 60,000 passengers annually.
Conventional travel agencies connect separate systems for each product line, negotiating distinct contracts and managing multiple balances. TravelDistro eliminates this fragmentation by offering one credential, one wallet, and one uniform contract covering all six verticals.
"Travel distribution works better as infrastructure," stated Alper Tekin, founder of TravelDistro. "We created the marketplace we always wanted as operators — a single integration that functions like a modern payments API rather than six fragile connections."
The platform offers multi-currency pricing and settlement in Turkish Lira, US Dollar, Euro, and British Pound, with API content and support available in English, Turkish, Persian, and Spanish. Each request is signed using HMAC-SHA256 and can be safely retried via idempotency keys, ensuring network failures do not cause double bookings.
Instead of returning ambiguous server errors, TravelDistro provides categorized, machine-readable error codes along with human-readable explanations and retry suggestions — a "zero 500s by design" methodology inspired by contemporary financial APIs.
TravelDistro was developed by a team with direct tourism operations in İstanbul, Edirne, and Dubai, covering tour operations, software, data, and media businesses. The group also releases peer-reviewed research on travel distribution, DMC economics, and inbound markets in Türkiye.
Travel agencies and developers can explore the OpenAPI reference and experiment with simulated inventory using sandbox keys prior to going live.
