Certificates continue to be granted across all campuses as members fulfill graduation requirements. The criteria have remained unchanged since the credential was introduced, as has the method of evaluating submissions.
“We passed 800 without altering how the work is reviewed,” said Mark Berringer, spokesperson for New Era Learning. “Every single certificate went through a coach who read the submission and attached their own name to it. That is the part we refuse to sacrifice for a higher count.”
How Graduation Works
Graduation involves a combination of campus exams and submitted work. Members complete assessments covering the campus curriculum and turn in completed work for evaluation. A campus expert then reviews the entire record and either approves the certificate or sends the submission back for revisions. Those who fall short are informed of what is missing and may resubmit. Each campus establishes criteria appropriate to its field, and what constitutes a verifiable outcome in AI automation differs from what is considered valid in ecommerce or client acquisition.
The credential, referred to on the platform as Tier II Clearance, comes with a publicly shareable verification link that members can provide to external employers and clients. It also grants Specialist status in the TRW Marketplace, the platform’s internal contract economy, where certified members bid on paid assignments from other members, with payments held in escrow until the work is approved.
The certification process is included in the $99 monthly membership fee. Members pay no additional certification charge, unlike several major programs that impose fees for credentialing on top of course enrollment.
Market Context
This approach goes against a market that is moving toward scale. OpenAI has pledged to certify 10 million Americans by 2030, and the percentage of candidates pursuing AI and machine learning certifications jumped from 17 percent in 2022 to 35 percent in 2024, based on Gartner research reported by Computerworld. A 2026 DataCamp survey of more than 500 US and UK enterprise leaders, conducted with YouGov, found that 82 percent of organizations now offer AI training, while 59 percent still report an AI skills gap.
Looking Ahead
New Era Learning stated that the review model will remain in place as certificate numbers grow. As AI credentialing expands across the industry, the company is betting that credentials carrying an individual reviewer’s name will retain value that mass-issued certificates lose.
