There was no lull in dealmaking this week, as numerous companies—especially those centered on artificial intelligence—finalized substantial funding rounds. Leading the pack was a $1.5 billion investment in enterprise AI firm Fireworks AI, along with a Series D for meal and delivery company Wonder. Additional large financings this week covered enterprise tech, food delivery, drones, and construction automation.

1. Fireworks AI, $1.5B, enterprise AI tools: Fireworks AI, which builds tools enabling enterprises to convert “general-purpose models into specialized intelligence trained on their own data,” secured $1.505 billion through a Series D round. Atreides Management, Index Ventures, and TCV spearheaded the investment, giving the San Mateo, California-based company a valuation of $17.5 billion.

2. Wonder, $650M, meals and delivery: Wonder, a business that runs kitchens and meal delivery services, finalized $650 million in Series D funding with a pre-money valuation of $9 billion. Part of the capital will be used to broaden operations for the New York-based firm, which currently runs 140 locations.

3. Chai Discovery, $400M, life sciences AI: Chai Discovery, an AI-driven drug discovery startup, obtained $400 million in Series C funding at a $3.8 billion valuation. Index Ventures led the round, with participation from Sequoia Capital, Dimension, Kleiner Perkins, and other investors.

4. Walden Robotics, $300M, robots: Walden Robotics, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based startup creating general-purpose robots for manufacturing and logistics tasks, emerged from stealth carrying $300 million in funding. Toyota and Deviation Capital headed the round, giving the company a $1.1 billion valuation.
