Collaboration set to scale sovereign AI capacity as need for Australian-based AI infrastructure increases

The collaboration merges SCX’s ASIC-accelerated architecture with DDN’s Infinia data intelligence platform. The integrated offering gives Australian businesses, government bodies, and research organizations a protected, high-efficiency, multi-tenant AI factory crafted to speed up inference and reduce cost per token, while guaranteeing that models, workloads, and information stay exclusively within Australia.
This development comes after SCX.ai’s first listing on the Australian Securities Exchange on 21 August, supported by a fully underwritten $40 million IPO, which establishes it as Australia’s first ASX-listed pure-play sovereign AI inference infrastructure company.
SCX.ai enters the public marketplace with increasing commercial traction. Contracted annual recurring revenue stood at $6.5 million at the close of July, representing a 20.9% rise since May. The platform currently serves more than 400 active users.
Expanding on the effective rollout of SCX’s initial sovereign AI node at the Equinix SY5 data center in Sydney, the incorporation of DDN Infinia guarantees that the underlying data layer can match massive concurrency and high-throughput inference requirements.

SCX.ai’s infrastructure depends on purpose-built SambaNova AI processors and is engineered to produce considerably more AI compute from the power and physical space accessible inside current commercial data centers. The enlarged cloud capacity will facilitate the rollout of tailored enterprise workloads, in addition to SCX.ai’s Project MAGPiE, a sovereign large language model specifically refined for the Australian cultural and business environment.
SCX.ai’s first node at Equinix SY5 in Sydney is now live, with the firm currently accelerating the deployment of Node 2, which is slated to be operational by the close of 2026. SCX.ai is also advancing blueprints for extra nodes as it constructs a nationwide sovereign AI inference network.
