Safe Pro broadens its partnership with the U.S. Army via a CRADA centered on AI-enhanced situational awareness through drone footage and geospatial data.

Agreement Highlights Safe Pro’s AI-Driven Analysis of U.S. Army UAS Data for Operational, Disaster, and Mission-Critical Applications

Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ:SPAI)
AVENTURA, FL, UNITED STATES, August 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Safe Pro Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAI) (“Safe Pro” or the “Company”), a creator of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered defense, security, and situational awareness technologies, revealed today that it has joined a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the United States Army Engineer Research and Development Center (“ERDC”) to work together on leveraging AI-driven image analysis under a project named Unified Situational Intelligence: UAS Enabled Data for Operational, Disaster, and Mission Critical Analysis.
Safe Pro Group Inc. is a B2i Digital Featured Company. See the company's in-depth profile at: https://b2idigital.com/safe-pro-group-inc-1
This CRADA centers on harnessing AI-driven object detection and technologies tied to uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and sensors to gather information and produce analytical outputs that bolster situational awareness and planning. The priority is dual-use solutions beneficial to both military personnel and civilian authorities within the broader field of engineering geospatial sciences, by collecting data on threats and hazards to enable faster awareness, enhanced coordination, and more informed field decisions.
“We are proud to expand our growing engagement with the U.S. Army to now include the collaboration on applying our patented AI-powered technologies to not only improving the effectiveness of military operations, but to potentially a wide array of civil works, military engineering or disaster response applications,” said Dan Erdberg, Chairman and CEO of Safe Pro Group.
The Company’s Safe Pro Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) AI platform processes imagery and video from virtually any drone to automatically spot and categorize explosive threats and other items of interest. The system converts raw footage into high-resolution 2D/3D geospatial models that can be quickly disseminated to aid operational decision-making in defense, security, and humanitarian efforts. SPOTD can identify over 150 types of landmines and UXO, allowing scalable situational awareness across vast, high-risk zones. SPOTD has been utilized in active operational settings in Ukraine for nearly three years and is backed by a growing proprietary dataset containing more than 2.9 million analyzed images, over 54,328 identified threats, and coverage of roughly 37,900 acres.
