Olmsted Medical Center (OMC) and Enara Health have announced a collaboration designed to widen access to physician-led obesity medicine for individuals in Rochester, Minnesota. Called Enara at Olmsted Medical Center, this initiative introduces a virtual, personalized care pathway that works alongside OMC’s existing WHOLEyou program, thereby broadening the obesity care offerings available across southeastern Minnesota.
The WHOLEyou program — which uses a Shared Medical Appointment model featuring structured group sessions that combine clinical expertise, nutritional advice, and peer support — reflects Olmsted Medical Center’s longstanding approach to treating obesity as a chronic illness. This new partnership builds on that foundation by adding a virtual, individualized route for patients who prefer one-on-one care or encounter obstacles to attending in person.
Across its national network of partners, Enara Health has compiled one of the strongest records of clinical outcomes in outpatient obesity medicine, delivered through a virtual, one-to-one care model. Together, WHOLEyou and Enara at Olmsted Medical Center create a seamless spectrum: patients can select the program that best fits their preference and clinical needs, all while remaining within Olmsted Medical Center’s system. Clinicians at any of OMC’s 25 locations can directly refer patients to the Enara program.
From the very start, each patient enrolled in the program is assigned a dedicated team — comprising obesity medicine physicians, exercise specialists, nutrition specialists, and behavioral health professionals — all working from a single, shared care plan. The Enara app keeps the team accessible between appointments. Care plans are developed first, with medications incorporated only when the clinical situation warrants them.
The program is in-network with most major insurance plans accepted at Olmsted Medical Center — including UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners, Medica, Aetna, and Medicare — so many patients can receive this specialized care as part of their covered benefits.
