Through this collaboration, a virtual, personalized obesity medicine approach is introduced to supplement Olmsted Medical Center’s WHOLEyou initiative — reaching patients at their own locations.

..patients have varied needs and goals, and we at OMC want to meet patients where they are, giving them their choice of evidence-based models and experienced healthcare professionals they can rely on.”— Melissa Richards, MD, Division Chair, Olmsted Medical Center

Today, Olmsted Medical Center (OMC) and Enara Health declared a new alliance aimed at widening the availability of physician-supervised obesity treatment for Rochester, Minnesota residents. Dubbed Enara at Olmsted Medical Center, this venture introduces a virtual, tailored care pathway that enhances OMC’s WHOLEyou program, thereby extending the range of obesity care options throughout southeastern Minnesota.

The Shared Medical Appointment framework of WHOLEyou — comprising organized group meetings that merge medical knowledge, dietary advice, and mutual encouragement — exemplifies Olmsted Medical Center’s enduring dedication to managing obesity as a lasting medical condition. This collaboration broadens that dedication by incorporating a virtual, one-on-one path for individuals who favor individualized attention or encounter obstacles to attending sessions in person.

Across its nationwide network of partners, Enara Health has established one of the most robust outcome track records in outpatient obesity medicine, utilizing a virtual, individual clinical care approach. Combined, WHOLEyou and Enara at Olmsted Medical Center create a genuine spectrum: patients may select from these programs according to their preferences and medical suitability, all under the umbrella of Olmsted Medical Center’s services. Healthcare providers at every one of the 25 Olmsted Medical Center sites are able to refer patients directly into the Enara program.

Starting immediately, every participant in the program is assigned a committed team — comprising obesity medicine doctors, exercise physiologists, dietitians, and mental health professionals — all operating from one unified care plan. The Enara application ensures this team remains accessible in between appointments. Care strategies are developed initially, with pharmaceutical treatment incorporated only when the medical situation warrants it.

This program is covered within the networks of the majority of leading insurance plans that Olmsted Medical Center accepts — such as UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners, Medica, Aetna, and Medicare — therefore numerous patients are able to obtain this specialized treatment as a component of their insurance benefits.</p
