Inter is transforming the routine of payment by introducing wearable technology in the United States. Instead of the usual steps — locating a phone, unlocking it, opening a digital wallet, and tapping — customers can now use the Inter Ring and Inter Wristband. These accessories bring contactless payment capability, backed by industry-standard security technology, to items people already wear. They require no screen, no battery, and no phone in hand.
This rollout represents another step in Inter’s commitment to optimizing for the customer. With this expanded offering, the financial technology company is extending its services from a digital platform into a practical lifestyle, giving customers entry to Inter’s full range of experiences.
The Inter Ring comes in gold, silver, rose, black, and gray. The Inter Wristband, which is adjustable and built for everyday wear, is available in black, orange, and white. Both devices operate on passive NFC technology, making them water-resistant and battery-free. They are activated once through the Inter App.
“Wearables embody a core trait in Inter's DNA: innovating to simplify people's lives through technology, convenience, and security. With these devices, we want to make every experience more efficient — whether that's the time saved at checkout or the peace of mind that comes with knowing your payments are protected through industry-standard security measures. Practicality is a lifestyle, and it makes a real difference in people's daily lives,” says Rodrigo Gouveia, Executive Director of E-Commerce and Ecosystems at Inter.
Payments processed through the Inter Ring or Wristband function as an extension of the customer’s existing Inter credit card, sharing the same credit limit and payment due date. Purchases made from any of the three surfaces — ring, wristband, or card — appear together on a single statement. Transactions utilize tokenization and encryption that align with contactless payment standards; some purchases may require a PIN. If a wearable is lost or stolen, customers can disable or remove it directly within the Inter App.
The wearables will initially be offered to a select group of Inter customers, with a broader release scheduled later in 2026. Terms, conditions, and merchant acceptance apply.
