After months of joint work between Health and Safety Coordinators at Caterpillar Inc. and the InspectNTrack team, the rollout of Smart Safety Pro by InspectNTrack has finally begun at Caterpillar locations across Illinois and Texas.
Caterpillar, currently managing over 600 active projects, needed a system capable of verifying not only that tasks are completed but also that safety is integrated during execution. Initially, the company’s Health and Safety Coordinators attempted paper-based verification methods; however, those systems proved not just ineffective but actually a barrier to achieving corporate safety targets.
While Smart Safety Pro provides a wide range of benefits to its users, the feature that most attracted Caterpillar was its workflow enforcement capability. Now, because the software is customized to their specific needs, employees at every level within Caterpillar are experiencing substantial advantages. Administrators have confidence that work is performed in the correct sequence and that safety compliance is maintained, as the software can automate task prerequisites for different user groups. Additionally, since Caterpillar requires certain user groups to complete safety training before specific tasks, Smart Safety Pro delivers those training sessions to end users anytime, anywhere through its mobile application.
