The temperature-controlled packaging market just got a significant consolidation boost, as Eutecma, backed by Great Point Partners, has completed its acquisition of TempAid. The move, which brings together complementary strengths in reusable and single-use shipping solutions, signals a broader push toward end-to-end cold chain coverage for pharmaceutical clients worldwide.
Health Business Group provided commercial due diligence for the transaction, expanding global end-to-end cold chain packaging capabilities.
Health Business Group's rigorous approach to primary and secondary research, and their ability to synthesize it into clear insights, made them a valuable partner on the TempAid investment.”— Eddie Hjerpe, Principal at Great Point Partners
Health Business Group, a boutique strategy consulting firm advising life sciences and healthcare investors, served as an advisor to Eutecma and its majority investor, Great Point Partners (GPP), in Eutecma's acquisition of TempAid. TempAid is a North American provider of validated temperature-controlled packaging for pharmaceutical, life sciences and healthcare organizations.
This deal effectively merges two distinct but complementary product lines. Eutecma brings its reusable, larger-format shipping systems, while TempAid contributes a robust portfolio of thermal packaging designed for parcel and last-mile delivery. Together, the combined entity will offer both reusable and single-use options—from individual mailers up to bulk pallet shippers—with operational reach spanning Europe, North America and Asia.
Health Business Group was tasked with conducting commercial due diligence on TempAid prior to the acquisition. That work involved a deep assessment of TempAid's market standing, its customer relationships, and the strength of its product portfolio, all weighed against how well it would mesh with Eutecma's existing operations in the global pharmaceutical cold chain.
The acquisition is not the first time Health Business Group has worked with these parties. It also advised on GPP's 2025 investment in Eutecma, which preceded this latest move.
“Health Business Group brought a strong understanding of the cold chain packaging space to this work,” said Eddie Hjerpe, Principal at Great Point Partners. “Their rigorous approach to primary and secondary research, and their ability to synthesize it into clear insights, made them a valuable partner on the TempAid investment.”
"TempAid has built a strong position in an attractive market for temperature-controlled packaging," said David E. Williams, President of Health Business Group. "Together, Eutecma and TempAid provide customers with one source for reusable and single-use solutions that cover the full journey, from pallet to parcel."

Why it matters: This acquisition consolidates two key players in a niche but critical segment of pharmaceutical logistics, where maintaining precise temperatures during transport is non-negotiable. By uniting reusable and single-use packaging under one roof, the combined company is better positioned to serve a global customer base demanding both flexibility and reliability in cold chain management.
