Firebird launches one of the world's fastest-deployed NVIDIA DSX AI factories, accelerating its global expansion across emerging markets.
HRAZDAN, ARMENIA, August 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Firebird officially opened the region’s largest NVIDIA DSX AI facility today, marking the first operational milestone for its international AI infrastructure platform and positioning Armenia as a fresh strategic hub for artificial intelligence computing.
The formal ribbon-cutting signified a pivotal moment for both Firebird and the region’s AI infrastructure landscape. Attendees included Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang, NVIDIA Vice President of Physical AI Simulation Rev Lebaredian, U.S. Embassy in Armenia Chargé d’Affaires ad interim David Allen, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Zhaslan Madiyev, along with senior government representatives, international diplomats, global tech executives, academic figures, investors, and key industry collaborators. The presence of these prominent leaders highlighted the project’s worldwide importance and underscored the increasing acknowledgment of AI infrastructure as a vital strategic resource in the global economy.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated: “Exactly one year after signing the U.S. – Armenia Memorandum of Understanding on AI and technology cooperation with President Donald Trump, we are now seeing this major achievement.”
Firebird further disclosed that NVIDIA plans to make an investment in the company, following an earlier financial commitment from CoreWeave this year. These funds will enable Firebird to broaden its international infrastructure and operational reach, while supporting initiatives to build the largest and most sophisticated compute clusters across emerging markets.
Expanding on this groundwork, the Firebird Armenian AI factory unveiled a development plan to grow beyond 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs by late 2027, increasing the platform to 300 megawatts of AI infrastructure capacity. This positions the project among Europe’s largest AI infrastructure platforms and as one of the world’s most prominent AI computing centers. Constructed using the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory reference design and linked via NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking, Firebird’s AI factory is engineered to enhance AI infrastructure economics—supporting up to 40% more GPUs within the same space and maximizing the value per megawatt.
Firebird’s growth strategy already reaches past Armenia. Kazakhstan serves as the company’s second market, where Firebird has obtained 125 megawatts of AI infrastructure capacity at Data Center Valley, backed by required approvals from the Government of Kazakhstan and export clearance from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Combined with several other frontier markets currently being developed, Firebird aims for two gigawatts of AI infrastructure capacity by the end of 2028, positioning itself as one of the globe’s fastest-growing AI infrastructure networks.
