Jeff T. Green’s family foundation, DataPhilanthropy, provides the lead contribution for an 85,000-square-foot facility designed to double hunger‑relief capacity in the region
OXNARD, CA, UNITED STATES, July 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Food Share of Ventura County has received an $8.5 million pledge from DataPhilanthropy, the family foundation of Jeff T. Green, to advance the organization’s $50 million “Feeding Our Future” capital campaign.
Green serves as founder and CEO of The Trade Desk, the premier independent demand‑side ad‑tech platform headquartered in Ventura, California.
DataPhilanthropy operates on the principle that philanthropy should be steered by data‑driven evidence, continual learning, and a clear grasp of impact. The foundation backs nonprofit partners striving to generate tangible change for the people and communities they assist. Past grants have gone to organizations such as California State University Channel Islands, Mount Sinai, buildOn, and The Ruth Cheatham Foundation.
Each year, Food Share provides for more than 250,000 individuals facing food insecurity—roughly one in every four Ventura County residents. With rising expenses and growing strain on public assistance programs, demand is climbing, yet the current facility restricts how much food can be accepted, stored, and distributed.
In the last year alone, space limitations forced Food Share to reject nearly 8 million pounds of food. The planned new facility will greatly enhance the organization’s ability to address the community’s escalating needs.
