New data reveals small enterprises fueling nearshore hiring expansion, tapping the region to access skilled talent that would otherwise be out of their budget.

Based on the company’s placement data from the first six months of 2026, over half of all placements were made at firms with 50 or fewer staff members. The most rapidly growing category was businesses with 26 to 50 people, where placements surged more than 70% compared to the prior half-year. Overall placements climbed 31% during the same timeframe and 67% from one year earlier.

Among the ten most frequently placed roles in the first half of 2026, four were sales positions; accountant jumped to second place among all roles, and the proportion of placements at the manager level roughly doubled over six months. These are the hires that generate revenue — sales representatives, finance leads, departmental managers — at a level of experience that a company with just a few dozen workers often cannot afford domestically. Salary ranges in Latin America typically fall 30–70% below U.S. equivalents for the same positions, making senior candidates accessible to small-business budgets.
