Brazilian studios, service providers and accelerator-backed companies will present new games, business opportunities in Cologne.
Brazil Games, the export initiative for games run by Abragames, the Brazilian Association of Game Developers, together with ApexBrasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, has revealed its plans to attend gamescom 2026, scheduled for August 19-23 in Cologne, Germany.
Returning to the biggest video game gathering worldwide, Brazil Games brings a contingent comprising Brazilian developers, service firms, indie studios, and industry delegates. This group will feature across both the business and consumer zones of gamescom, underscoring Brazil’s position as a nation that crafts original games, offers specialized production capabilities, and nurtures enduring connections with the global marketplace.
This effort is part of the continuous work directed by Abragames and ApexBrasil to aid Brazilian game companies in going global. At gamescom, Brazil Games will link studios with publishers, investors, platforms, media, and prospective business allies, while simultaneously letting players explore projects originating from Brazil.
Brazil’s participation at the event mirrors a sector that has grown more sophisticated in recent times. The delegation encompasses enterprises involved in original intellectual properties, co-development, artistry, animation, outsourcing, and other niche services. Collectively, they present an extensive view of the Brazilian games industry: inventive, commercially driven, and steadily more equipped to compete in worldwide markets.
“Brazil continues to cement its role as an increasingly valuable collaborator for the global games industry,” remarked Patricia Sato, Executive Manager at Brazil Games. “Our efforts with ApexBrasil and Abragames are geared toward generating genuine prospects for Brazilian firms, spanning business discussions to exposure for fresh projects. Brazil possesses talent, technical know-how, and a distinct creative character, and we want the global market to witness that firsthand.”
Brazil Takes the Spotlight at gamescom’s Indie Area
For the very first time, Brazil Games will run a dedicated pavilion within gamescom’s Indie Area, providing a fresh platform for up-and-coming Brazilian studios and original intellectual properties. This pavilion will unite programs and backing from Brazil Games Accelerator, Embratur, and Sebrae-SP, collectively showcasing dozens of Brazilian-made titles to international audiences over the course of the event.
Serving as the primary exhibitor inside the pavilion, Brazil Games Accelerator will feature a handpicked assortment of games from its most recent cohort, emphasizing the program’s role in aiding promising Brazilian studios with global growth potential.
The Indie Area presence signifies a key milestone for Brazil’s independent development landscape. It offers international audiences direct exposure to games shaped by Brazilian creators, featuring projects that mirror diverse regions, influences, narratives, and aesthetics from throughout the nation.
A Consolidated B2B Presence at gamescom
Beyond its consumer-facing activities, Brazil Games will keep a robust footprint in the B2B section, arranging meetings between Brazilian firms and global publishers, investors, service providers, and industry participants.
Participating companies will showcase both original game projects and specialized development services, reaffirming Brazil’s reputation as a dependable partner for co-development, outsourcing, and creative partnerships.
For gamescom 2026, Brazil Games has broadened its business support materials and industry directories, launching dedicated publications centered on games and service providers. The objective is to simplify how international partners understand what Brazilian companies offer, identify possible collaborators, and initiate conversations during the event.
This commercial emphasis is fundamental to the Brazil Games Export Program. The program’s involvement at international events extends beyond promotion. It is structured to assist Brazilian companies in accessing markets, cultivating relationships, and converting visibility into concrete opportunities.
Brazil’s Expanding Games Ecosystem
Brazil Games’ attendance at gamescom 2026 occurs at a moment when the Brazilian game development sector is gaining rising international recognition, fueled by initiatives that foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and export preparedness.
The delegation will highlight upcoming projects scheduled for launch over the coming two years, including titles from Brazil Games Accelerator and other development programs linked to the country’s industry expansion.
By uniting established firms and emerging studios, Brazil Games seeks to bolster Brazil’s standing as a significant actor in the international games market. This initiative also highlights the role of Abragames and ApexBrasil in constructing bridges between Brazilian enterprises and global partners.
Brazil’s presence at gamescom is also a reminder of what distinguishes the country’s game industry: a blend of technical expertise, creative drive, cultural diversity, and the capacity to collaborate with partners from various markets. From business meetings to the Indie Area, Brazil Games will present a nation that is prepared not only to display its games, but also to engage in commerce with the world.
Further details regarding participating companies, featured games, and meeting opportunities at gamescom 2026 will be disclosed in the upcoming weeks.
