Now, elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the district are able to collaborate with Brainfuse for virtual high-dosage small-group tutoring in English language arts and mathematics.
Spanning more than 70 miles from Chattahoochee Hills to Johns Creek, Fulton County Schools encompasses campuses that each operate on distinct schedules, with varying staffing levels and student requirements. Virtual tutoring enables schools to arrange recurring sessions without relying solely on tutors who can physically travel to the site. Students can take part from their school building while engaging live with an experienced content-area tutor.

Under the Fulton County Schools model, tutoring groups are capped at four students, and each learner receives a minimum of 90 minutes of support weekly. Brainfuse programs are generally structured into three or more sessions per week over a sustained tutoring period. Students are placed in groups based on their abilities and instructional requirements and work with a consistent tutor or tutoring team.
Instruction follows the Georgia Standards of Excellence, reinforcing Tier 1 classroom learning while offering targeted Tier 2 support for students needing extra intervention. Tutors can draw on assessment results, student work, teacher feedback, and district priorities to pinpoint areas where help is needed. ELA tutoring may incorporate evidence-based reading and writing strategies, whereas mathematics instruction focuses on conceptual understanding, fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving.
Within the Brainfuse online classroom, students can upload assignments, write or draw on an interactive whiteboard, and communicate with their tutor via chat, audio, or video. These features allow students to engage in the manner that suits them best. Session recordings also enable learners to revisit past explanations and review completed work.
Teachers and administrators can track attendance, tutoring activity, skills addressed, tutor notes, assessment performance, and student progress through secure dashboards and downloadable reports.
