FlexM, a Singapore-based Fintech-as-a-Service provider, has closed a Series A round that its leadership says is about far more than just raising capital. The investment agreement with Singapore’s 24 Hermes VCC positions the company for what it expects to be a period of explosive growth in the cross-border payments space, with projections of 200% annual expansion in global payment corridors.
Strategic investment from Singapore-based 24 Hermes VCC funds FlexM’s next growth phase as it expands its payment infrastructure across four international hubs.
Rune Nilsson, Executive Chairman and Founder of FlexM, was direct about the company’s motivation for choosing this particular investor: “We wanted industrial partners who can help create business, transaction volume and access to new markets. We now have that.”
SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE, October 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — With the signed agreements now in place, FlexM considers itself fully capitalized for its current operating plan and the expansion strategy it has mapped out. The company intends to deploy its payment, remittance, and compliance technology across several of the world’s largest financial markets, targeting a 200% annual growth rate in its global cross-border payment corridors.
At its core, FlexM’s AI-driven global payment platform is engineered to strip away the complexity and cost that companies and financial institutions typically face when moving money internationally.
Building the infrastructure behind global payments
For any business operating in multiple countries, the friction of international payments is a daily reality. Managing relationships with several banks, juggling multiple currencies, navigating foreign-exchange conversions, coordinating various payment providers, and maintaining separate compliance and reconciliation systems can become a logistical nightmare just to pay a supplier or collect revenue from a customer.
FlexM’s solution is to consolidate that fragmented infrastructure into a single, unified platform.
Its FlexBiz offering provides businesses with a centralized dashboard for managing multi-currency accounts and handling both domestic and international payments. The platform supports international money transfers, bulk payment processing with approval workflows, API-based payment integration, and enhanced visibility into transaction flows and cash positions.
Complementing that is FlexComply, the company’s compliance and risk-management suite. This system unifies customer onboarding, KYC/KYB checks, identity verification, sanctions and PEP screening, risk scoring, transaction monitoring, ongoing due diligence, and regulatory reporting into a single workflow.
In effect, FlexM offers clients both the rails to move money and the compliance layer that governs who is moving it, where it’s going, and whether a transaction carries regulatory risk—all in one package.
“Companies don’t want five different systems to solve five different parts of the same problem,” said Naveed Weldon, CEO and Co-Founder of FlexM. “They want to move money across borders quickly, understand exactly what it costs, maintain control over their transactions and know that the compliance layer is built into the infrastructure. That is what we have spent years building. With the new investment agreements in place, we can now focus on taking that infrastructure into significantly larger markets.”
Strategic investors bring more than capital
This isn’t a typical venture capital deal where the investor simply writes a check and waits for a return. The backing from 24 Hermes VCC is expected to bring tangible commercial benefits—namely, transaction volume and access to new markets. FlexM anticipates that this partnership will open doors in global e-commerce and trading, potentially channeling significant payment volumes through its platform.
Under the terms of the agreement, 24 Hermes VCC (Hermes III) will acquire a 10% equity stake in FlexM and serve as the company’s joint-venture partner for its planned payment and digital-asset operations in Dubai and India. The partner has also committed to funding agreed-upon licensing costs and contributing working capital to support those ventures.
“We see FlexM as a highly interesting company, holding payment licences in Singapore and Canada. We are currently applying for licences in the UAE and India, and we see significant opportunities to secure a strong position in the global cross-border market,” said Amul Shah, Fund Manager at 24 Hermes VCC.
FlexM believes this strategic-investor model differentiates it from the typical venture-backed fintech, as its backers are expected to become active participants in the commercial ecosystem that generates transactions, rather than being purely passive providers of capital.
The company is now gearing up for a rapid global expansion, with licence applications already underway in the UAE and India.
“For us, this financing is much more important than simply raising another round of capital,” said Rune Nilsson, Executive Chairman and Founder of FlexM. “We wanted industrial partners who can help create business, transaction volume and access to new markets. We now have that. FlexM has spent years building AI technology, global payment rails, compliance infrastructure and a regulatory foundation. Our next chapter is about scale and becoming a unicorn company.”
