This honor underscores HMCI’s efforts in driving AI innovation and constructing practical technology ecosystems throughout the Greater Sacramento region.
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA, UNITED STATES, September 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Human Machine Collaboration Institute (HMCI) has been selected as a 2026 Sacramento Inno Awards honoree by the Sacramento Business Journal, a distinction that acknowledges the organization’s contributions to artificial intelligence and tech innovation across the Greater Sacramento area.
This acknowledgment arrives at a time of notable expansion for HMCI, as it broadens its activities in AI research, enterprise digital transformation, education, and ecosystem development.
A key illustration is AiR Rancho Cordova, the country’s first city-led AI and robotics ecosystem, coordinated by HMCI together with the City of Rancho Cordova. This effort unites industry, government, academia, and workforce training to foster a setting where nascent AI and robotics technologies can progress from concepts to real-world implementations.
“This honor is particularly significant because Sacramento is where so many of our ideas about the future of AI are being realized,” stated Sadie St. Lawrence, Founder and CEO of HMCI. “Innovation occurs when businesses, government, researchers, educators, and communities have a space where they can collaborate. We take pride in helping to build that space and are grateful to the Sacramento Business Journal for this recognition.”
The award reinforces HMCI’s overarching mission of enabling humans to prosper alongside intelligent machines, while positioning Greater Sacramento as a locale where the future of AI is being actively developed.
